In Buddhism they define "3 poisons"working against a healthy mind. They are greed, hatred, & delusion. Said another way, they are clinging, condemning, & identifying. Mind is inherently pure when it is not polluted with these defilements. Mind is pure luminous consciousness & in perfect balance when we are not lost in delusion & creating drama for ourselves & others. Meditation is called "practice", since is the cultivation of your pure mind's essence. It is learning to let go of the constant thoughts & feelings that are creating personal dissatisfaction & unfulfillment. Thoughts & feelings are like clouds coming through the luminous sky. They come & go & are not inherently "you". There really is no permanent "you", just an ever changing mind-body process. Let go & flow into the know. Your paradise is just a perception away.
